Could anybody suggest any recipes to make for Max? I am taking him to puppy class, and soft chew sticks don't seem to work. I think this is because they are so much like his complete food he gets.
Any suggestions please.
Thank you
Ashleigh

Ashleigh,
Without any real cooking, small bits of cheese, sausage, chicken or leftover Sunday roast generally work if a dog is food oriented. But, not all dogs "work for food." If your dog goes mad for a particular toy, like a kong, they can be used in training as well.

Do a search for liver cake, this is an ideal recipe to use for training purposes! I know it came up recently, so you should be able to find it :)

I was told recently that I should use pepperoni as it is stinky and the dogs love it. I have a dog who is not usually interested in treats, but even he liked it, and kept his attention on me.

Liver cake is real easy to make:
500g of liver (lamb seems to go down better)
2 eggs
SR flour.
Liquidise liver, add 2 eggs and liquidise again. I add two cloves of garlic but thats option, then stir in enough SR flour to make it thick cake like mixture, spread it out on a baking tray and bake for about 30 minutes on 180 degress. It keeps well in the freezer but will last about 2 days kept in the fridge.
