Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Which classes to enter?
- By sarahl [fr] Date 16.06.04 07:35 UTC
In general champ shows, I'm currently entering Post grad classes, but in my breed champ shows they usually have more than one class I can enter.  eg special yearling, graduate.  Do you personally think that you are at a disadvantage if you enter more than one class - ie the judge has already seen you in graduate so would dismiss you in post grad?  I suppose maybe it depends on how well the dogs has done in the previous class, but any thoughts/suggestions would be welcome.

thanks - sarah

Depends on the age of your dog and how many wins it has had. Also if you want to support the show by more than one entry. I usualy enter more than one class at a club show and no, you are not at a disadvantage. Have in the past had a 3rd in Post Grad and gone on to win Limit, you just have to decide which would be the best for your dog according to how much winning it has done.

You may also come up against different dogs in the two different classes so although you may not do so well in one class you may in another

Good luck in which ever you choose to do:)
