i have a 10 month old lab bitch,she got her canine teeth as normal as a little puppy, but the bottom right hand side one never came, does any one know why this might be, and do you think there is any chance of her getting it now? all her other teeth are there, and perfect.

It could be impacted - would need an x ray to diagnose - see your vet.

MY PET HATE!!  Gundogs with missing teeth!  You will most probably find it will not appear at all.  There are countless thousands of Labs, Retrievers, Setters, Spaniels etc... who have missing teeth all down the sides of their mouths, some are top winning animals, however should it be a Terrier or a Dobermann, Rottweiler, GSD etc..... it wouldn't get a second look in!

oh well at least shes not on her own then,just that over the years i have had 4 labs and never seen it before, i will just have to hope and pray that it still might turn up one day soon.  sue
