Just wondering if anyone uses these for when their bitch is in season.  If so what do you think of them?  Are they ok or do your dogs get annoyed with having to wear them? :)

we got some last week when Abby came in season to wear out walking  what a waste of money she sat down and point blank refused to move not suprising really but they do say a fool and her money are easily parted.

Well .... would you go out in your knickers if you were menstruating???  :D

I'll bet she was saying - you cnnot be serious - don't you know that I will be laughed at FOREVER it you make me wear these things?
Have you no consideration for my feelings?   Do you want me to look as stupid as all Human Beans?? :D :D

(I know that's what my girls would be saying if I tried it)

Never used a specific product - but did used to use cheapo little girls knickers with a hole cut for the tail for Missy, simply because she's such a messy moo she wouldn't keep herself clean, and it meant she could still live as part of the family instead of being excluded.

I dare not put any on my bitches because they would all
eat them :D   Mind you it would enterain them for hours
but I would hate picking up shredded knickers all over the
place. ha ha.

Think I would rather smear the offending parts with something like butter to encourage cleaning rather than put a bitch of mine in pants.
- By digger [gb] Date 15.06.04 18:40 UTC
But then you get butter everywhere - not conducive to family living.......

Not with my lot they would be cleaning up.

mine are really clean but also teach each younger bitch to clean themsleves properly and we rarely have any blood on furniture or anything.I hope my staffy pup candy will be as clean as my labs or else it will be knickers for her!!lol, even if they do spoil her street cred.:)

Yes - I could just see Missy rushing into the living room to leap on the sofa to start a good cleaning session..........  No longer a problem as she has been spayed :)

Well i'm going to say the oppisite to everyone else now. I bought some of the pants for my youngest beagle just to try them as she didn't clean herself very much. Yes, they look hideous but i only put them on her when we were in the sitting room at night as i have a neutral carpet in there. I wouldn't have them on her all the time as i think its important that they are encouraged to clean themselves. She didn't really care that she had them on, for the first five minutes she had a look at them, but she got used to them quite quickly. However, i don't need to use them on my other girl as she cleans her self all the time.

My girl is spayed now, but when she was in season, I used these! Oh how she looked silly! If looks could kill, I'd be dead! I would pull out the pants and those blue eyes would try to pierce into my heart. :D Kieron fretted with them at first, but I was sure to reward her when she sniffed them then left them alone. She soon learned that good things happened when they were on her and that even if she pulled them off, a few minutes later they'd be back on! :D But now I don't have to worry about seasons, thank goodness. =)
