Well I have not taken this personaly but it has made me wonder if I'll accept any more judging appointments.

I judge because I realy enjoy the privilage of going over some lovely dogs, but it meens me giving up a day, traveling sometimes some 100 or more miles (usualy at my expence) and staying at the show to watch my BOB going through to Group or BIS not that I mind, especialy if they do well, but when it's very cold or very hot it would be nice to go along with all the exhibitors who have not won BOB. So apart from the pleasure I take in the dogs and a lunch all I get for my efforts is a petrol bill, a day away from showing my own dogs, and the thought that most people exhibiting think I am dishonist. It does not encourage one to continue judging or all the background work that goes into tring to learn more in order to offer a better service to those exhibitors who do you the honour of bring their dogs under you. Yes I will think twice before doing it again. JH

I havent shown yet (still have that joy to come) but I have been following the thread with interest.

I think Jackie , you are taking this far too personally ...nowhere does anyone say that most people will think YOUR judging will be dishonest. In point of fact ..I would think that reading about a *proper* judge , like yourself , who knows her business and does the best she can would encourage the people who have had problems!

IMHO , it is going to be Judges like yourself , you care about what goes on that makes up for the other type

:)
