Topic Dog Boards / General / Paddling Pool Danger

just thought I'd share my nightmare experience of the weekend - My pup was playing in the garden with the older dogs and children, all were having great fun with the paddling pool and having water fights. I went in to the loo and when I came out my pup was lying at the bottom of the pool (only a few inches of water in it). She was cold and floppy but we managed to resuscitate her. We spent the whole night terrified that she wouldn't make it. Thankfully she's ok now and hopefully won't suffer any long-term effects from hypoxia but it's scary how quick it all happened. The children have now thrown the paddling pool out.
Please be careful with water around young pups it can all go wrong so quickly.
