hi i am siobhan i would like to say i am sorry for the bad spelling you may find!!! You see i am getting a pup from england and i live in the Isle of man we (me and my mum) will have to bring the pup back on the boat should i have it on a coller or a harnis

How old will the pup be? You don't want it on the ground where other dogs have been until it's had it's injections. Will it be possible to carry it in a crate? If pup is small enough, could you be able to put it in a cat basket? Easier to carry.

the pup will be 12 weeks

Sorry about the delay, my computer went down for a while. Seems ok now.

Anyway. If the pups injections are up to date it should be ok to walk onto the ferry. Or will it be in a car? I've taken a dog on a ferry before and I would personally recommend something that will restrain the pup properly. A harness would be better than a collar, but I still think a crate, or a basket of some sort would be the best way. The pup might try to 'jump overboard' to play in the big puddle :eek: and you would feel safer if it was properly contained. You will be taking it away from it's mum so it will feel bewildered already, without going on a boat with strangers.
