Hello To All...
I am just giving you all the final update on Kara (our little rottie)... After a long and painful struggle for both Kara and ourselves we are happy to tell you all that Kara is back to her fighting fit self once again...
We took Kara back to the vet's on Friday of last week an the vet has now told us that Kara is clear of the dreaded Sarcoptic Mange that she was suffering from... (no more baby romper suit's for our little darling) Her coat is growing back lovely now from where she was once bald (over most of her little body)...
We would just like to take this oppertunity to thank each and everyone of you for your help in trying to get Kara better (look's like the Aludex and Stronghold really did there job)...
We must stress tho and we can't do this enough PLEASE PLEASE when you think of buying your new puppy use a reputable breeder (not saying the one that we used was not reputable) who offer's you the free insurance for a period time, we were not lucky to be offered this and in the end in the 5 short weeks of having Kara we have spent a total of 500.00 maybe a little bit more... As we said before the money we spent on getting Kara back to her healthy self again was not an issue but it would have been nice to have had that insurance that we could have fell back onto... We have now took our own insurance out on Kara so if any future incident's occur (touch wood they won't) we are now covered....
Our thank's again to one and all of you...
Gaynor & Family... oh an not forgetting the sloppy kiss from Kara...xxx

Glad to hear she is better, it has become very common amongst urban foxes over the last few years and has of course been passed to domestic animals and children who roll in grass. My sisters dogs started to get a new bout of it each year and it drove her to distraction but there is not a lot you can do about it although some people suggest the use of Stronghold can help, not on the kids, of course. :)
