what should i do when my pup bites, ignore it, point and say no/bad girl, tap it, put hand round mouth................

You must immediately, say NO, remove you hand, food or whatever is being bitten and then immediately give the puppy a toy to bite and praise, praise, praise!

And repeat this time and time and time again - up until now the puppy has found the behaviour rewarding, so it's going to try even harder to get the reward it used to get, so be prepared to think it's not working before it actually works.
