He's a baby - what did you expect? You need to train him to accept being on his own and to be comfortable with it.

He is also not an "it". I hate it when people call their dogs "it". Its a certain sign they have not bonded, didn't really want a pup, have done no research on puppies and are looking to rehome.

Teach your pup to stay on his own - I suggest you join to get advice. You didn't leave contact details and I am not prepared to type out a load of advice whe the chances are you won't be back.

Your staffy pup sounds exactly the same as mine, we live in a terraced house so have the same problems with the neigbours, I'm sure both our staffys will get better with time and patience. How long have you had your staffy, only had ours 5 days, and guess this is normal behaviour untill they settle in, its my first pup so not sure what advice to give you.

do you use a crate? they can be a god send, but must be introduced properally.
babys do cry, please be patient or your pup will pick up on your frustration & could get worse.
have you tried leaving the pup with a kong stuffed with treats?
you could also leave a radio on
some people swear on leaving a weell worn item of clothing outside the door so the pup can still smell you

youll need to gradually build up the time you leave the puppy & have a good play before you go so then the puppy will happily have a sleep.

housetraining,go back to basics, dogs dont come houstrained & the success you have is measuered by the effort you put in.
good luck with your puppy guest, Bogy, hope these ideas may be use to you too!

Hi Guest, :-)  as chloe says you need to train your puppy, it sounds as if you are starting from scratch, go to the FAQ section of this forum and you will find a fact sheet on puppies under Admin,  read that first then come back with any questions. When you leave your puppy alone give it an old item of clothing that smells of you and leave a radio on low for company. good luck :-D
