When we got Leon we sent off the paperwork to have the KC reg transferred into my name (or whatever it is they do with it) and they took the money from my account but I didn't get anything back from them. Is that normal or should I have received something in the post?

Yes, you should have received an updated form with your name and address, and the date of transfer printed on it. I would get on the phone to the KC to check when it was posted.

It took a week to get Libbys transfer of ownership back plus the five generation pedigree that we paid for . I thought that was really quick :)
Ring them and check it hasnt gone missing in our glorious postal system :rolleyes:

Things do seem to get '''''''''lost''''''''' I sent the change of ownership and the change of name up in the same envelope and the change of ownership was back within the week but the change of name took months and no end of nagging.

When a friend of mine sent the pedigree names in to reg a litter of pup's in her last litter it took 3 week and that ws after the money was taken out of her account (so it was near a month after posting it of),  but it only took a week for Graces change of ownership to come back. so they can be very quick but some times they do lose things and need to be kick up the bum a little

Charlie, I sent the kc the registration for transfer of ownership on 22nd april, on 28th april my bank showed they had been paid. I waited another week then phoned. They told me they hadnt received any reg. form. After convincing them they had they sent me a form 6 to be signed by me and the breeder and I had to send a copy of my statementand purchase agreement. Then they told me it could have been 'lost' somewhere in the building and they would try and sort it out. I eventually received it yesterday, 9th June plus 6 weeks free insurance which ran out on the 2nd! Do phone because if I hadnt, I would probably none the wiser to them losing it!

i recently ordered a enchanced 5 generation pedigree would you believe it got lost in the post the kennel club sent out another straight away ,so maybe your ownership transfer  have got lost in the post you should telephone the the kennel club you cannot rely on royal mail these days .

Goodness i'm glad I asked, not sure what made me think of it really. Will definitely ring them tomorrow, have double checked and the money definitely went out of my account - although it was ages ago it was quite a while after I sent the form off...I see fun and games on the way!!
