I would like to have a corgi as a pet and wonder is there any difference in temperement between the 2 breeds.  Does one need more exercise than the other and how do they get on with other dogs?  Any advice would be welcome. as I have only met a Pembroke corgi once,  but what a delightful character she was.  I'm also looking for a breeder closer to home, which is Manchester.  My email address is barbaraah8@hotmail.com.

Having had close personal experience of both breeds I do prefer the Cardigan as they are if well bred they tend to be much less yappy & more laid back than Pembrokes. having said that I do know some very laid back pems but I find they are the exception

It's a lot easier to find Pems than Cardis as the former are more popular

Which ever you choose please be very very careful & research both breeds & also maybe going to a couple of Championship dog shows on Pastoral day when both breeds are scheduled
