It varies according to the breed. Most bitches shouldn't be mated before their second birthday, and when they've had all their breed-relevant hereditary health checks, and with pass certificates to prove it. Stud fees also vary, depending on the quality, reputation and show/working record of the dog, but around the price of a puppy.

It does depend on what breed your dog is.
Can you tell us what she is??
Normally its around 2 years of age when someone
breeds. In my breed its 2-3 years of age.  Some people wont breed until 3.

Stud fees should be the price of a puppy. But that again depends on what breed. Or what quality the stud dog is.

Health testing should be done for the good of your breed no matter what breed you have.  Today puppy buyers are not happy if their dog develops a hereditary illness and will happily sue the breeder if health tests are not done.

Also a good stud owner will insist your bitch is smeared before coming to their dog, to make sure they dont have any bacterias that can render the dog infertile. This costs around £70-00 upwards.
Good luck and if you want any more answers please just ask.
