sprinklers, paddling pool, cold hosing/showering, and fans in the house, dogs at work all have fans in kennels with kennl doors open, and after exercise/training they are cold hosed before being put away

Hmm I may buy a pool for Sal. I already have the fans and the hose pipe sprinkler in action :)

A pool may be my buy for the summer. Karen

Our children have a 15' x 36" deep swimming pool, so the dogs all join in!  they love it, plus we have an air-conditioning unit in the kitchen for them.............are they spoilt or what :-)

id go and buy the pool now if you are going to get one, our one for the kids last year got split and we had a real job trying to get a new one this year as soon as they where in the shops mum bought one, and i forgot before there is always walks in the woods with swimming in the lake when you get back home dogs sleep in coolest part in house with the fan on them thats mine and their favourite way of keeping cool :D

Hello Tanya.

Have already got fans in each and every room downstairs, and the conservatory fan on with the doors wide open. I've brought a big fan for the landing aiming down the stairs and the cats adore that one :)

I will buy her a pool and see what she thinks at least even if she doesn't like it I'll have something too cool my feet in ;)

We've put the gazebo up so there is extra shade - plus sprinkler going over kennels.

Purdey has dug herself a nice cool hole, under an elder bush, at the bottom of the garden, behind the kennels.....either that or she is digging the escape tunnel inwards for the others :D :D

Hi,

It's called a 6' ft deep koi pond complete with waterfall  which especially Gundo
male retriever  thinks this is his idea of complete heaven :-D

I gave Wheeler his first orange ice lolly today and he loved it! It seemed to cool him down a lot as well as later he was running about and digging up all the flower beds   Boy did he got a shock when he realised I was behind him with a hose :D Oh I'm such a mean mother! :D

My dogs love ice cubes. Also we have house fans which keep us all cool. The kitchen is the coolest place, its lovely in the summer and they all lay on the tiled floor.
Outside I have these huge plastic storage boxes and fill with water and they sit in them. ha ha...Willow looks funny as she sits in it like lady muck.  But at least they keep cool. I have to watch though they dont go outside get in the water then run back inside again.

re: the shell paddling pool-
is it one of those blue plastic ones :)
We used to have one of those - originally for the kids, but ended up being used for our previous Staffy. Theyre great :)

Yes it is ! There are two parts so you can cover the water over when you want them to stay dry ! I got it from our local tip for a £1 as somebody had taken it up there ! There was nothing wrong with it apart from needing a good clean ! :)

I have just bought a blue shell on saturday from argos £11.99, did'nt really want a double one but the only single ones i could find was a blue hippo or a red ladybird. The dog loves it,so if he's happy i'm happy.:d

I quite fancy a blue hippo or a red ladybird in my garden! Sounds groovy.

my dog loves ice cubes as well and we have a fan which we direct at her to cool her down leaving us sweltering!

Ditto! ice cubes, fan and an extra large cat litter tray full of water plus hose and bird baths to splash in.
