Hi, i have a labrador x collie who, when down agility classes is constanctly nasty to the other dogs by either staring at the other dogs with his collie stare or by barking at them and there is one dog which he actually goes for. He is brilliant at the agility but this lets him down trumendously. Once whilst off the lead down the agility class the othe rlab x collie was staring at him and he had a fight with that dog! We have tried socialisation down the park where he is fine, but then down the agility class he changes, despite efforts. The other female lab x collie does now constanty stare at him due to the fight he started and winds My dog up more! I dont know what to do and i dont want to have to leave the class because of this one dog. HELP!! Please email me at ahadaway_511@fsmail.net
Please please, please, i have an agility class soon and i am dreading it when this dog appears.
He will be more hyped up when doing something like agility which really gets him excited.
NEVER let him eyeball other dogs at all, keep his attention constantly on you - this is one thing that people with potentially agressive dogs have to do all the time when in close quarters with other dogs.
Dogs can sense tension, so when you are worried about seeing the dog you may automatically tense up and this may wind the dog up more and maybe even worry him. I have posted more on your other similar thread.
It would be a good idea to register and then we can hopefully help you more.
