Mine were 2 weeks last Friday and are JUST about on their legs this morning!  Eyes only opened on Saturday/Sunday, but they were 4 days early.
I always count from conception rather than from birth, when gauging progress.

There's a brilliant book called "The Whelping and Rearing of Puppies" by Muriel Lee  which has advice for identifying swimmer puppies and helping them 'get up on their legs'.  Its available from pets at home amongst other places.  What surface is she on?  It may be that the surface is not giving her enough 'grip' to get up.

got the book, already had for two years, like you said is great but it dose not state what age,

she just open her eyes and is crawling round well.i got vet bed in 3/4  of the whelping and  newpaper, where she is laying at the moment  on keeping cool, with a fan blowing, like the other dogs it to hot do to any thing,i give it another week i do left her and stand her on her feet which she paddle ways like mad,it still may be a bit early.

i am just worried beacuse she the only one and puting weight on well.

A friend had this problem, one pup was a swimmer, which made her worry about the other two, one in particular but she started to massage him regularly and move his legs in walking action and within a couple of days he was up on his own four feet. good luck anything worth a try :)

Hi Terri, mine are 3wks tomorrow but not steady & few steps at a time only, more falling over than anything :D They only manage few steps & a couple still crawl, the males, think they`re a bit lazy ;) Only today all with eyes open but not really seeing. They can just about hear as well, give it more time before starting to worry :)

Christine, Spain.

ps to keep my pups cool I`ve got a steady supply of ice packs & putting them round the edges of the whelping box under the vet bed :)
