our litter of puppies are now over 3 weeks old. At what age would you start feeding them. I breed Retrievers 12 years ago and started them of on raw minced beef, but I cnt rember what age. Any advice?

started weaning my pups just before they were 2 weeks old - had to really, they kept stealing mum's food! Just gave them a little taste to start with. Mine are Siberian Huskies though, so a bit bigger than yours i should think! I'd say you can start weaning them anytime now, they'll let you know if they're not ready yet.

Hi...how lovely..Dacs puppies  :-) I would give them a little scraped beef rather than mince ..you know..buy chuck steak in a piece and scrape with a sharp knife, it has no big bits or gristle for tiny Dacs babies to choke on.
