could i ask a question that is hypothetical (think that is how it is spelt)
could a dog be shown in the breed shows that is only on the working trials register and how would the KC be able to check up on this dog, as they must have thousand of dogs entered at shows every week do they check every entry to make sure the dogs are registered ?

I think WT may be the same as obedience you HAVE to put the KC number on your enty forms. No number no enty-thank god most Ob people have got it off to a fine art

The KC would pick it up if the dog got a qualification & when they tried to record it they found it was not registered then they would ask for the entry form & the eror or deliberate falsification would be found

The short answer is no. You cannot legally show a dog which is not registered on the breed register. The owner might get away with it for a while but the first time the dog got placed it would be found out.
