I have heard that and believe I have seen a miniature golden. Is there such a breed and if so, where can I start looking to do research on them and if I choose, purchase one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No there is no such breed, it was likely either a cross, or a seriously undersized one (possibly with health problems).

Miniature Golden what? Sorry guest but it sounds like a Canary - what are you looking for in a dog, what is your life style and what sort of breed are you looking for. Hound, Gundog, Terrier, Working, Pastoral or Toy, as it is miniature I would guess toy so what sort of coat and activity level are you looking for and any other requirements like the amount of grooming and exercise you are prepared to undertake.
