Bad journey home - trains late, missing my lift & having to walk the last mile home, only to find that no-one had started dinner :(

However that is no excuse for shouting at puppy Freya - even though she did jump up at me and to try and shove her ball into my hand as I am handling a hot port of veg.    I am not proud to say that I shouted at her - and even went to smack her - but she went into a down-stay.    Bless her little heart & paws - she went into a down-stay = and every time I looked at her = down she went!

I have told her she is a really good little girl and have given her treats - but why oh why do they suddenly demonstrate that yes they do know what to do -  when I am absolutely at the end of my rope???    It makes me feel sooo guilty!!!

Freya is now lying on the settee, thumping her tail, at Gypsy & Purdey, saying = "See - that's how you get round your Yumans" whilst I still feel guilty at shouting at her!

I wouldn't worry too much about it margot, Many atimes hae my dogs been shouted at, they do need a firm word now and again...only the other day did I have ag at rhea for going OTT for food and catching my finger, didn't do it again yet!!!

Freya has proberly forgot about it :) knowing labs she is still only thinking og food....lol

Humans get worked up, everyone has, is and will do it!!!

Unlike humans, dogs don't hold grudges, she'll have forgotten all about it long ago and will now just be enjoying all the attention!  :)

Yes - she has forgotten all about it ...sadly she's also forgotten "down-stay" as well :(

This morning, rushing around with Vinne was far more important than listening to me on a walk!!
