We are very interested in this breed, we are a family who are looking for a pet but also a lovely hound to show as a hobby, looking at past topics we need to look for a Hamiltonstovare who has proved their worth, ie a Champion. we know their may be one in the UK? Can anyone help or give any advice.

Hi Guest, the Hamiltons are on the Rare Breeds list in the UK so you will not find a UK champion although you may find a pup who's pedigree may have hounds who have been made up elsewhere. There are a limited number of breeders in the UK and your best plan would be to visit some of them or meet them at a Championship show. Make yourself known and when you have decided who's hounds you like best ask if you can put your name on their puppy list.
