Does she have an anal abscess that has burst?

Just got back from vet.she has sent a swap off to be tested. as this is the secound time this has happened.  but not as bad as this,at least she is still happy. husband will not be. she has cost a small fourtune, in the past year. No holiday again this year.

WOW, 18 years old. That is certainly some achievement. My parents  acouple of months ago lost our 16 year old spaniel, but 18, that is great!!!!! I really hope it isn't a serious problem your dog has. And i'm sure you'll get more enjoyment from her than any holiday! Take Care. x

18 is a great age.and some days she is just like a pup,and then somedays I feel like I'm going to lose her, but thank god she always bounces back.so fingers crossed she will again. plus we are going on holiday and all the dogs are welcome. something to look forward to.

she has now been on antibiotics, for sixdays. and she still has this thick discharge ,she is still fine in herself. so back to vet in morning. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this.
