Just wanted to have a quick moan.....
Alfie found a dirty nappy in the park today, and yes, it was very full and very smelly.  He thought he was in heaven and could I get it off him?  No chance!  He's always finding stuff to pick up, but anyway, his dirty habits are another matter!
It really makes me mad that there is so much litter left lying around.  I dread the summer when people will use the park more and leave even more stuff lying around.  How much effort does it take to carry your litter with you?  You've got to get back to your car so you're passing a bin on the way out anyway.  I wouldn't dream of not clearing up after Alfie.  Wouldn't the world be a nicer place if we were all a bit more considerate?

Lol at Alfie! Morse is just the same, remember the Underpants Incident? the Edinburgh Evening News had a letter in last week from a lady deploring the state people left her local park in and how she cleaned up after her dogs and picked up litter too. The world would indeed be nicer if we considered others more and treated our outdoor environment with more respect.

Well living in London is a nightmare, even though we pay well over a £1000 for our one bed flat the streets are always filthy and at a park last week in london my schnauzer stood on a beer can that was split in half - it sliced right through her paw.  As well as that, trying to walk her through streets that are filled with half eaten kebabs, burgers, pork bones, sweet wrappers (and the list goes on and on) is turning not just into a nightmare but a health hazard!

Thats over £1000 council tax.... not the rent...

£1000 a year Council Tax! Blimey, that's cheap! A bog-standard 1930's semi in the country is £1500!

I didn't realise until we got our Bichon puppy how much litter was about. I feel awful saying No or drop it, instead of letting him enjoy his walk in peace. I agree,  it only takes a few seconds to take rubbish and put in bin.

I get cross when i see people just dropping litter from their cars, or unwrapping sweets and dropping the wrapper, or tossing cigarette butts on the ground as if they dont consider that litter :(

Kids do it but i have to say, the worst seem to be around the 25 - 45 age bracket and usually men for some reason.

Yes litter is an annoyance ESPECIALLY GLASS. Why do stupid drunk teenagers and (in some cases) adults have to smash glass bottles everywhere? What good does it do? Also dog poo! I was walking up the field today only to find the biggest heap of dog poo Id ever seen! It was HUGE but theres always dog poo on the field and it gets me so angry when people dont clear it up

Yes, it really gets me angry too - and I think it's getting worse.  Wet wipes, nappies, food wrappers and those blasted tin foil disposable barbecues.  Yesterday on the park, someone had thrown a full size barbecue in a gulley.  Someone else had left barbecue coals on the lawn next to the burnt grass they had left behind.   Litter lying around everywhere whilst the bins line up immaculately empty.   I found myself saying out loud "I don't believe it".  I think this world is turning me into Victoria Meldrew!!
