Hi, I used to be a member here my username was iloveflatcoats, but I cannot seem to be able to log in :( It says my cookies are disabled and I have tried to make them work again, but it doesn't work, so could you please tell me as much as you can of flat coats? Do they need 1 hours walking twice a day? Thank you so much, Lauren Whale.

it depends on how old the dog is, from 12 weeks to 1 year, 5 mins per month, but i never let them puppie off the lead  for free run untill a year you can get all the basic training with in that year on the lead ( expect for nutty tehya she just a happy fcr but we are getting there with her) then aftre 18 months once the bone and joint stop growing and settal down, then it all go,

but it like human the more work out you do in the gym the more you want to do beacuse for the homeones, and i have found that with the dogs the more excersie they get the more they get restless and want more,my auntie has is with fcr,

5 mins per month?!!  That works out at about 10 seconds a day!  I guess that isn't what you meant?

5 minutes per month of age, briedog! So a four-month pup gets walks of 4x5 minutes = 20 minutes.
:)

I always advise people who are new to the breed to be aware that they are very intelligent dogs and more than anything else need mental stimulation. So many people make the mistake of over exercising them, as they think by tiring out a young dog it will sleep while they go out and so it will not chew up the house. This doesn't happen what happens is, you create a situation where the dog wants more and more exercise, as Terri says, and as it is now fitter it can do more damage in a shorter time. It is better to give it things to play with and better still, play with  the dog in a constructive way so it needs to use it's mind not just it's legs!

per day,i very tried after 3 day of no sleep with wispa and 1 pup, which is hard work than you think it better to have a bigger litter of the mum to cope better

I know what you mean, Lucinda panicked every time she lost sight of her single puppy, and barked and howled, so I knew.  the whole family ended up taking it in turns to sleep and puppy watch. This went on until he was mobile, but then he decided to try to follow her out of the box and so we had the whole process again as she'd panic if he got out, and panic if he cried for her if she got out!
