feel like crying right now but cant because im at work. on sunday we went to the rspca and fell in love with a lovely puppy anyway we went away to think about it and decided we would like her. on monday i rang the rspca back to find out what we needed to do next they said they would put a temporary reserve on her untill the end of the week in which we should go back to fill in forms etc ( takes 1 hour for us to travel there, i dont drive and my boyfriend could'nt get a day off work durring the week, i work evenings and saturdays ) anyway my boyfriend dropped me off at work and set off to the rspca this morning. He's just rung me to say he got there and she had been put on reserve by someone else. i was fumming i rang them back and they told me they had only put her on temporary freserve for the day. i cant believe it i even asked when i rang the first time if i neede to ring them before we set off to make sure she was still available and she said no. im so upset id set my heart on her and my boyfriends had a wasted journey so hes not happy also got caught going 5 over speed limit on way there so hell have 6 points on licence. i really want to cry my eyes out but i cant. sorry for blabbering on but need to tell someone and only me here at work.

oh, im so sorry.  you must be very disapointed.  you must think that everything happens for a reason.  there is another puppy out there that is just perfect for you.  you'll see.

I absolutely believe that too. It's hard to understand why things happen which disappoint us. With a little time, you'll get more accepting of this and along will come another puppy. You'll spend time with it and fall in love. And you'll be glad. I don't mean to diminish your disappointment that you have now, but do think things happen for a reason. Why don't you join and keep in touch that way. We'd love to hear how you're doing.

things do happen for a reason its hard to think that now but maybe you will in time.
I dont know how the RSPCA work had they homechecked you? as they often do.
We never put our rescue labs to offers or let people just come and look we check the people  out first  before they go on our list then let them know when a suitable dog comes in.
Ive read about this before happening it happens at manchester dogs home I believe first come first served on the day the dog is to be released despite people registering interest before hand.
I am a great  believer in fate   your new dog will find you and you him  so do keep looking and you willl find him/her
Good luck.

What a shame, but I agree with everybody else - it wasn't meant to be and the right puppy will come along for you!  Fate works in strange ways - when my dog died suddenly two years ago, at only age 5, I was so upset, and I knew there was always about a year's waiting list for another puppy of the breed.  I felt really sad at the thought of having to wait so long, but then at the same time I discovered Champdogs, and I found one puppy of this breed that nobody apparently wanted -he was the smallest in the litter, his fur was grey instead of black, but as soon as I saw his picture I knew he would be coming home with me.  Anyway, he has turned out the most lovely dog - beautiful temperament, his coat has gone black after all, and I wouldn't swap him for any other dog!  Not that I don't miss the dog I lost of course, but this dog was just meant to be!

Thanks everyone, you were right, everything does happen for a reason, there was a puppy out there that was just perfect for us. She's called Maisie and we brought her home on Tuesday. Shes a blue brindle and white 9 week old SBT and we love her more than ever. Now i believe in fate.
