Mornign everybody..
I remember reading a while ago about ways to help control brown staining of grass from weeing... I think someone mentioned it could have something to do with diet?? and that if fed something it would help?? Can anyone help me

I have found that concrete definately stops the grass going yellow.

And patience and time makes the grass grow back greener than before ... ;)

Giving your dog something to stop the temporary killing off of the grass could also upset its urin*ary system so would be something I would be reluctant to do.

However if you pour a bucket of water on the grass it dilutes it and prevents the browning :)

Well on this Program I watched they did say if you get a bucket of Water and pour it over as soon as they pee that dilutes  the wee and stop's the grass from dying:)

Hi Brinny, I think the brown grass came up as a side issue..my Mini Sch. was ill at christmas and had a bladder infection, was prescribed antibiotics and her beard turned brown. We though this might be due to the antibiotics allowing a yeast infection to get a hold..or just washing the protective oils out of her beard when she had it washed a few times after vomiting. Anyway, it was suggested I give her vitamin c tabs from the health food shop to help the 'beard thing' ' a bonus to this was vitamine c  is supposed to stop urine staining the grass. Have not tried the tabs as beard improved on its own and I am not keen on giving a dog anything extra in the way of tabs unless it is really nec.. Anyway another thread was about dogs eating fruit..so I asked if those whose dogs ate fruit (Vit C) had urine that did not stain the grass.. :-D phew...bit of a mouthfull!! you could 'eliminate part of the process' and put the Vit C straight on the grass..(tin tom juice..lemon juice in water?) not tried it myself :-P
