Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Show lead for vizsla

Fortis' question just made me think that I don't actually have a lead for Chloe for when we start showing. Would it be better for it to match her coat, or stand out, I have seen people using red/blue/green etc. I currently use a thin nylon one for training but it isn't the softest thing in the world and doesn't look good. Is rope or leather better? Any suggestions?

My advice would be a narrow brown slip lead. mY Irish Setter wears one like this. I think it cost about £13 from a Championship Show.

Leather brown slip lead, not too long so that you have to gather loads up in your hand when moving your dog.    Accolade leather do lots and have a website.

I would get one to match her coat colour.
For handmade leather leads try <www.hessonite.net>, they can be made to any length.
