What leads are normally used for showing labs? My Luke is the only lab at our ringcraft class...:( :( :(

I bought a lovely one off ebay its very thin leather slip lead I think the person still sells them just do a search or look on petplanet.
you  need a thin one so it doesnt bunch up on the neck slips nicely down whilst the judge is going over the dog

forgot to say if your lab is yellow and you dont get a leather one get a light colour I also have a nice very fine white string  one I used to show william on if your dog is black or choc go for the colour of your dog in your lead it does look better in the ring.
If there are any champshows going on near you there are lots of stall to look at leads on.

I got my leather slip lead from a gun shop, it was only £8 for a 6ft size, if you soak it in Neats foot oil it will soften nicely but remove the rubber.
