where is the most likely place that your dog can pick up ticks, is i walking in the woods or over braken .?

either,but bracken especially i find!!! on my walks at the moment i will stop acouple of times & can see the tics crawling on their coats so i get them off then,hopefully before they get a hold!!!

My pup picked two up in my garden, tiny little things they were, found one crawling around in his fur and the other had already taken hold above his eye :(  I dont get any deer in my garden but they do get in the field out the back, I think he probably picked these up off a hedgehog or something.

Yes, hedgehogs are usually infested too.

Strange though that the pup picked them up and I have never found one on the cats and they are always out hunting amongst the Wheat in the back field and through the forest which is half my back garden :rolleyes: - maybe their frontline drops really do work against ticks :D :D

i think the tics on exmoor are developing into a superstrain that are immune to front line!!!

who has had a tic on them??? iv had two! urrghh!!!
