Gone a done in again.
Worked myself into such a state that I haven't attended another interview.
Why do I get like this?
What can I do about it? Really want another job but my self confidance as plummeted so much that I keep trying to pluck enough courage to attend interveiws but always panic and cancel.

Thats a good book BTW but Id suggest doing something to raise your self confidence before looking for work again, perhaps talking to the careers service, community education service about returning to work courses or pursuing an interesting course where youd be meeting new people and getting into learning again. I d been out of the working world for 10 years before retraining in housing, and before I did that I took IT courses and a community education course to get used to studying again, timekeeping, deadlines, meeting people all that stuff. You can do it. :)

Thanks Tohme, will buy that book, looks a good book.
Thanks Lorelei, I've emailed a careers advisor a few months back but they basically told me what everyone else did that I'm in a catch 22 position. I might try mailing again though RE the confindance problem.
I'm currently learning at the moment but home study due to lack of funds. I'm not a return to work person I'm a stuck in rut person where 2 years in dead end job on same salary has meant I've lost loads of confidance.
Thanks for vote of confidance that I can do it, I sure as will try but maybe have to break it into stages. Trying to learn to drive (not very succesfully), study and find a new job plus pass driving theory, maybe I've taken on too much and thats not assisting.
