Today I took Barney back to his breeder for his 10 week haircut.  At the moment she has the most gorgeous 7 week old litter of puppies.  All of them are reserved and the prospective owners are coming to choose their puppy this week, but while I was there one of them phoned up to say that they no longer required one of her puppies as their daughter has changed her mind and no longer wants a cocker spaniel, she wants a lab instead!!!!!!  I can't believe that people could do this, a dog is something you will hopefully have for 14 years - you can't just change your mind.  The breeder is of course relieved that one of her puppies didn't go to this family.

I totally agree!
If she has changed her mind about this one, whats going to happen when she gets a lab and gets bored of that one??!!

I think people should think carefully before getting any kind of pet.
Dogs have lives of their own too.
