Tohme is the best person to ask :)
Mine steals them if you leave them anywhere he can reach. I don't know how he peels them but he only eats the inside and hides the skin in his bed.

My Akita will sell his soul for bananas :D
I think Akitas are one of the quieter Spitzs breeds (Bliss compared with some!!!), but at 7 mths he still has time to develop into a barker so never encourage him. If you don't want unwelcome visitors, an Akita which just stands & looks is far more offputting than one which is barking as they don't know how he's going to act. If you're lucky, you'll have one who "roars" like ours :D

My dog loves fruit and veg but hates meat , the vet said all fruit is ok except citrus and grapes and rasins , citrus becuase of obvious reasons and grapes and rasins have a toxin in that is very bad for dogs a bit like chocolate

what is the obvious reason to avoid citrus fruit? Many owners feed their dogs citrus fruit.

My dogs love bananas. I share one between them often. When my Dobe had very loose stools, a banana would help bind him up a bit. Because dogs have a thinner mucous membrane along their alimentary canal than we do, the citrus fruit may be too acidic and irritate the walls. That's why asprin too is not a very good choice....or you need to be careful about it and very limited, small dose and with food. I give Ester C vitamin, along with some other suppliments. It's easier on their stomachs than regular vit. C.

I thought the main reason for not giving aspirin, apart from it not being a drug used by vets was that could trigger or worsen stomach ulcers, cause kidney damage and is contra indicated before or after surgery, in dogs that have vWD, asthma, kidney disease, are pregnant; so many other things better than aspirin cannot imagine why anyone would even think of it?
I would imagine that the small amounts of citrus fruits that a dog would be likely to eat would not be a problem; they are unlikely to derive any Vitamin C benefit from it anyway.
Ester C with bioflavonoids is certainly the most efficient way of supplementing this requirement.

Why not citrus? It does no harm and, in breeds that cannot synthesise their own vitamin C, is very good for them.
Leo loves bananas and tries to steal mine when i have them. I didn't know they weren't allowed grapes, hes only had one or two when we were testing him to see what he liked and it doesnt seem to have had any ill effects but i wont give him them again. He's had orange too and he likes it. But bananas do seem to be his favourite fruit.
my lab loves fruit and veg, when he has banana he will eat the skin too  he has orange sometimes hasnt done him any harm :)

People do not make their own vit. C. Dogs do. Some people think it's not enough if you want to really add that antioxident factor so supplimenting can be done.
Sometimes the harm that happens in the way of stomach or esophageal ulcers doesn't show up right away and perhaps it takes more to do any harm.

Hmmm as a dogs stomach acid is much stronger than ours citrus fruit should not prove to be a problem.
Grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs.
Dogs may synthesize their own Vitamin C but not necessarily enough for their needs. Supplementing will only cause diarrhoea.
