I was born in South London so will be supporting Millwall, despite being a West Ham fan. For some reason I just can't bring myself to support ManU.

I have the Euro 2004 poster up in my classroom. The children have entered into the spirit of things (not difficult with 22 boys in the class). They are busy sticking spare stickers around the poster and they each made a flag of all the represented teams. There homework this weekend is to find out 3 interesting facts about the nation they have chosen!
I have bought 2 prizes (some of the teams have two supporters due to the number of children) and can't wait for it to get started.
My neighbour has won tickets to the England-France game!!!

Jackyjat, we are all west ham fans in this house, hubby born in Forest Gate many moons ago! UP THE HAMMERS! My bro actually works for Man U and England, he's the poor sod that gets paid to watch football! He always gets us a good hotel in Manchester IF Man U v West Ham happens again! Next Saturday eh Jackyjat that's our day (hopefully!) Son was mascot for the hammers when he was 11 (16 now)
yipee they won 3-0
well done Man U we love you :)

While I dont like Man U - I REALLY dont like Millwall, especially dont like Dennis Wise. The fans are generally thugs (sorry to those that aren't) and being in Bristol I am more than aware of the potential trouble there will be in town tonight

As for football! I think the FA cup final is too big a stage for lower division sides and not a true representation of top flight english football to all those international viewers of the game...As a result a fairly rubbish final. How many people have I upset now!! Me, I love football and any excuse to watch a game with a few beers, just got in, in-fact :D
Sarah
Dennis Wise, that man was out of order, he could have really damaged some of man u's players, i think he was scared of loosing but oh dear he did lose didnt he :D :D :D

We hate football! but were so pleased THE MATCH was on yesterday, because we had a lovely quiet walk around Midhurst and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of it all, everyone seemed to be at home watching the footie! :D
Jacqueline
I was so disappointed with the result as a Manchester City season ticket holder, I had everything crossed for Millwall.
Sorry, but can't stand all the glory hunting Manu U supporters, hardly anyone has ever been to Old Trafford or comes from Manchester. And if you did you should support City, the only team from Manchester :D

"The fans are generally thugs (sorry to those that aren't)"
No, as in all cases, SOME of the fans are thugs, and give a bad reputation to the rest...;-)
However further to that - no one likes us, we don't care ;-)

I am totally amazed by all the wonderful footballing adverts on at the moment, I can't work out if my fave is skins vs. shirts for some sort of beer or the cola one?
It makes for some very pleasant scenery and with a footie mad 10yr old keeps us both happy!
Roll on 12th June, puppies and footie all in one day!

Pity we didn't do it Jackyjat, I'm ok about it but my husband is in deep mourning for the loss! I threw one of Beth's bibs at him earlier when he ate his tea, he asked what's this for and I told him he was acting like a spoilt baby so he may as well wear it! He really is disappointed and down bless him, to me it;s a game to him it's his life! West Ham come before me always I know that! My brother didn't help by winding him up over the phone straight after the game!

I'm gutted. I spent all day resisting the temptation to drive the 30 miles over the bridge to the Millennium statium just to soak up the atmosphere. I listened to it on the radio, only having bog standard TV here and felt really gutted when Palace scored. Even my Arsenal supporting son was on my side, although my Dad up in heaven would have been supporting Palace all the way!
It's been quite an emotional day and it's been years since I've felt that way over a footie game. I am so looking forward to Euro 2004. I was a season ticket holder 78-81 then I got married, had babies, etc but now my youngest is 10 and as mad on football as anyone could be, it's all coming back to me ... ... ...
Oh! I so wish they had won.
Next season .......!
