I am the proud owner of a  2 + 1/2 yr old staffy cross female called kerry . she is a loyal and brill dog. she is perfect with people but has on one occasion been dog aggressive. this was with a very small terrier at night and i feel it may have been kerry mistaking it for a hedgehog etc which i have been informed can happen with staffies. anyway i would love to get another dog to keep her company. i was looking for advice on age sex and breed of dog that would go well and anyadvice i can get really. thanks

Usually staffys are best with the opposite sex. Are you inclined towards a different breed or another staffy ?

yeah, i've just got a new male staff puppy and already have a 6month female one and they love each other to bits.I'm finding it hard to separate them at the moment, she just licks him and lies next to him all the time!!They're soo sweet!!.)

i am thinking about a different breed, perhaps a springer or a boxer, mainly because i have heard that staffy's can be really bad with other stafffies

Hey
I know this isnt related to the topic, but how many kg's does your staffy weigh?

the majority of staffys get on fine together. It all depends on how your present dog is with others really. There are LOTS of people with more than one staffy in the home who get on wonderfully

I'm not being fummy but what is your obsession with staffy weights. As I said before there are many size and shapes of staffie and hence each type will have a different weight range. If your pup is a healthy weight for her size then thats all that matters...she will end up being whatever she is...you'll just have to wait and see
