I am currently looking for a Cocker Spaniel puppy. Could anyone please tell me what I should look for in a puppy of this breed and what sort of questions to ask a breeder?  I would also like to know what hip score the parents should have and any other conditions that are common in this breed.

First of all guest, are you looking for a working or show variety?  Why not register to enable you to discuss the matter further and ask all the questions you need!

You will need to ask if both parents have clear eye certificates too!

also find a reputable breeder who is happy to answer all your questions  and you feel comfortable with they will be a source of  lots of help and information within the next few months even years-the breed club is always a good place to start.
