My ten month old pup has not managed to get the hang of cocking his leg to pee yet. As my garden is entirely gravelled he has picked a spot in it where he likes to pee. This hasn't been a problem for me over the winter. As the weather is now warmer and I have started to wander out into the garden a little more I have noticed that his "pee patch" is now getter rather smelly despite my trying to pour disinfectant and water over it. Any suggestions as to what I can use to dampen down the pong?

Try Jeyes fluid, but be aware to keep him off it till it's dry.

Check that beneath the gravel there isn't a plastic membrane to stop weeds coming through - that would stop the pee from flowing away.  If the membrane is there, cut that piece out, then the pee will soak into the ground and diluting it with a watering can of water should solve the problem.

I have used biological Washing liquid diluted in a watering can. I'm now using OdorKill, both work well. To find OdorKill just type it into google and you come up with the Animal Health site.
