COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT "BLENHEIM" MEANS AS FOR COLOUR BREED AND SHOW OF DOG?

it's brown and white or it is in cavaliers anyway

Blenheim is a colour term. It refers to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that is a White dog with rust red patches, or markings. I'm not sure if the term applies to any other breed, If it does, I've not heard of it. Certainly in Welsh Springers and Irish Red and White Setters, they are just red and white.

They are so named as they were bred by the Churchills(no not Winston but I believe John)who lived at Blenheim Castle They were Red & White & the colour was eventually called after the Churchills home.

They certainly were but unlike WC they kept to the same side in politics ;) The lozengeless dogs were the gentlemen's dogs & the ones with lozenges were the ladies dogs They were known I think as Blenheim spaniels & the ones belonging to the royalty were known as English Toy Spaniels which eventually all became the King Charles Spaniels(which had longer muzzles than todays KC)& which were bred by the victorian's to have the shorter muzzles like the pugs

Both Cavaliers & Charlies have the blenheim colour

They were used to retrieve woodcock & be a gentry lapdog. LOL mine would hunt but they would not be posh lapdogs, they like gardening too much  ;)
