I have what I believe is a Chocolate Lab and Cheapeke Bay Retriever mix.  She has a small growth on her neck which appears to be a "cyst"  It has gotton bigger over the past few weeks and I'm not sure what it is.  My vet said it's not harmful, and that i should have it removed.  I'm just scared it might be cancer or something.  Can anyone help?

If you vet is not worried then I would just do as they suggest, once the lump is removed you can ask for it to be sent to be tested and then you will know for sure.

Hi There - it could be whats called a Hystecytoma ( sp) which apparently are harmless and if you can bear to look at them for long enough apprently disapear -I couldn't and my lad had one removed recently-it was lab tested and all was well -If you trust your vet , go with his advice
