what does a gundog breed have to achieve in order to gain a stud book number?

Be a Champion, Show Champion, Field Trial Champion, Working Trial Champion, Agility or Obedience Champion; qualified TD in Working Trials

Won a CC in any discipline; I forget the rest.

In Goldens  1st,2nd or 3rd in Limit or Open at Championship show.

I think getting a Junior Warrant also entitles you to a stud book number.

An award of Certificate of Merit or above in a Field Trial will gain a stud book number.

Different Gundog breeds are in different bands, look at the KC site which will give lists of breeds in the bands, and awards needed to gain the SB number.
