hi as a lot of you know i have recently added a siberian husky puppy to my family, she will be 10 weeks old on Thursday, she is settling in great gets on great with my other 2 dogs especially my 20 moth old GSD bitch Kira, anyway i have noticed that Kira has started to clean Kisska at her vulva area, i have never had 2 bitches before so im just checking if this is quite normal behavior i was thinking that it may just be Kira's maternal instinct to clean her or could it be something more?? thanks for any help

yep its quite normal!!each time one of my younger bitches have come in season the older one seems to kind of teach them to clean themsleves properly!!bless them.:)

My gsd used to regurgitate her food for our two baby collies. It must be a maternal thing and to show that they are not jealous of them in the household. Good natured or whatever you want to call it.:)

thanks for the reassurance she only seems to do it when Kisska has a wee, leaves her alone the rest of the time apart from giving her ears and face a licking this morning :-D lol
