Romantic thing anyone has ever done for you? Mine was between engagement and a surprise picnic to cheer me up after an op.

A first wedding anniversary is 'paper'. For our first my OH gave me tickets to New York. He had booked and organised the whole thing - flights, hotel and time off work for me. I did get a weeks notice as my mum told him I wouldn't be happy if I couldn't get my hair done and stuff before we went! She knows me so well!!! :D

On our Wedding Day (24/7/76) hubby sent me a yellow rose( he couldn't remember if I liked red or yellow) so on the card attached(to cover himself) which had a pic of red rose, he wrote, " A rose for you, couldn't find a red one, but the one on the is" sounds naff, but when we split up for a year and got back together again, every year since he has done the same. By the way he did get it right, I prefer yellow roses. We celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary this year.
Okay you can throw up now.

I found out yesterday that my husband has arranged a surprise trip for my 40th birthday on the 29th June, it is a little early but on the 27th May, we are going to Las Vegas for a week with a helicopter ride to the Grand Canon included, he is sorted out everything, my time off work, my mum to come and stay and look after the children and my friend to have our dogs. It still hasn't sunk in yet.
Karen.
Lucky you, that sounds fantastic. :)
My Mum and Dad went two years ago for my Mum's 50th and absolutely loved it. They did the helicopter ride over the Canyon and said it was incredible. Also just looking in all the hotels is an experience as they have so many weird and wonderful things in them.
Do you know what Hotel you are staying in? My parents stayed at the Luxor but I think the Venetian looks beautiful.
I am so jealous of you, I'm desperate to go, I've been waiting til I was 21 so I can drink and gamble :D

Hi Rachel,
I'm really looking forward to it but it has been abit of a shock....we are staying at the Stratosphere Hotel, which is the one with the fairground at the top of the tower...just been looking at it on a web site...looks good...can't wait to hit the slot machines.
Karen.

NOTHING, I'm still searching for the right man to come along!!! :d
