Wish me luck for tomorrow - I've loaded up the Aussie Posse Wagon - not with dogs - but with loads of "rubbish" - books, curtains, bits & pieces, extra wine glasses (do we really need 6 doz??) - and am trundling up the road to the nearest boot sale!!

I've meandered round them before but never actually sold anything.....

we did one years ago when they first became popular - be prepared for the hagglers :)
some people expect everything for 50p or less :D :D :D
Where are you doing it by the way?

Good luck !

We have a garage full of stuff ready to do a car boot but just haven't had the time ( or the inclination yet :D )

So what silly time have you got to get up then ?

They start at 7am around here  Hence why we haven't done one yet ! :D

I'm doing one in the morning - get up around 5.30 ish (Yuk!).  I hate early mornings anyway and that is like getting up in the middle of the night to me.  Worse thing is, I have a nephew staying, so all 4 boys were up (hyper) til 10.00 last night and all got up - VERY LOUDLY - at 5.30am this morning.  I hardly slept a wink having an extra person in the house so I am already shattered!!

What I like about doing a boot sale - apart from decluttering it that I get to walk round one much earlier than I would usually :)

Good Luck with yours

We're leaving at 5.30 - its only just up the road but I've got to pick our Junior Handler up - she's coming too!!

We are only going to the most local one (its about 3 miles away) - so that if I get fed up, we can get home quickly!!   At least with the Aussie Posse wagon, we can do our own bacon butties!!

Taking my mum and Ickle Man for a walk around one tomorrow, it started in this area a couple of weeks ago I believe so thought that I'd go and have a nosey, love to find really nice doggy ornaments that are really cheap.

A little tip to keep the hagglers quite, if you want a £1.00 for something then tell them £1.30 for example, then eventually get them to pay the pound you wanted ;)  we are doing one in a couple of weeks in aid of labrador rescue. good luck for tomorrow, they can be great fun

WEll - we're back - and I reckon I made £60:D :D :D  Mind you, seeing as it came mostly from books that I have bought for £-£5 each, and now sold at 25p each maybe I shouldn't consider it profit :D

Dis sell some bits that have just been cluttering the place up though - but couldn't get a good enough price for the OH!!!

Margot

PS     I'm likening it to doing a champ show - lots of preparation, lots of hanging around - but this time, I haven't spent anything - and entry fee was a lot less :D :D
