I'm looking to breed from her, she has an excellent pedigree, with several champions.
Could you let me know where you are from and what the procedure is re- breeding.
I was looking to breed from a black/dark dog.

I think you've left it far too late if she's already in season and ready to stand.  You would be best to wait till her next season, which would give you the chance to find the "perfect" stud, which can take some time.  Maybe your local Staffy club would be able to help?  They would certainly be able to give you advice.  I take it your bitch is KC reg?  Only reason I ask is that owners of KC registered studs will generally only allow them to go to stud with KC reg bitches.

You may well have left your bitch to late to try and find a suitable stud to mate her on this season. The best way to start is to speak to the bitches breeder who will not only be able to tell you who may have a suitable stud but also if they think your bitch is worth breeding from, what tests you will need to do and remove any restrictions they may have put on your breeding her. I take it you have not been showing her or you would have said how she has been doing and would also have known how to find a suitable stud. So leave it for this season and may be the next whilst you acquire the information you will need to find a suitable stud and prepare for the hoped for litter.
