I cant login to be a member i have tried so many times. But please help me with my question, My bitch is 60 days gone into her preg. She is in her welping box and is nesting, this is really the first day that she is refusing her breakfast up untill now she has been eating like a horse. She has gone very quite and since day 57 i will not go out of the house for more than 1hr at a time so to keep a eye on her. I have been giving her short walks but today not sure wether to leave her alone. We also have some builders working down the close doing a extenstion causing some noise as you can imagine. My girl is in a shed so to keep her quite , now what do i do? She still seems very relaxed even with all going on. Please could somebody give me some suggestions or put my mind at rest. Does it also go for all breeds the temp. sould be 80-85 as i have got everything right heaters blankets vetbed ect. ect. but as she is a husky i was just wondering. Thankyou and much appreciate any one willing to give me some Helpful advice on my post. (I will keep trying to reg. so i can post into the right cat.)

Are you with AOL? I couldn't register through them either. Try setting up a Hotmail account and use that, it worked fine when I tried that!
Our Staffies only started going near their whelping boxes when they were less than 24 hours from whelp. I would stay with her, even though she seems calm at the moment. Better to be safe than sorry, after all!

I would say her behaviour is normal just keep your eye on her one of the first signs is to go off the food another is nesting ripping up papers etc.. have you put newspapers down as well as the vet bed? I usually put a thick wedge of papers down then when pups are born and you remove top layers the smell is still there for the mum and pups(with vetbed on top) if you want to email me you can on labrador.rescue@btinternet.com.
Also a great book is thebook of the bitch for a refernece guide plus sdvice with dealing with the pups.

Have you been taking her temp? That is generally a good indicator when the temp drops for a bit.
