Do I need a stud book number. If so where would I get this from?? We have already sired our chocolate labrador, he became a father to 12 healthy puppies. 8 dogs and 4 bitches. please advise

Hopefully your dog is KC Reg'd and has had all the necessary health checks - that's all you need to register a litter of puppies. You don't "get" a stud book number - your dog has to earn it on his merits by winning certain classes or awards at Championship shows.
