hiya candie, how often do you give them a tablet?
- By Carrie [us] Date 07.05.04 23:36 UTC
I've come across in my reading somewhere that some garlic is OK, but not a lot. (whatever that means)Same with spinich. I do suppliment my dogs' food and have wanted to make sure the things I gave were ok. I have no idea where that was that I read that, as it's been a while. So...sorry...not much help. And not very specific.

Snap!  I've been to Holland & Barretts too, got my supplies in!  My dogs have been having them for just over 2 years now and never had a flea, one advantage of the capsules is their breath doesn't smell as bad as it would if they ate a clove of Garlic :-)

I have never found that dogs fed fresh garlic have garlic breath :D

Garlic is absolutely fine to give dogs on a daily basis. I give mine a crushed garlic clove every day.  Obviously feeding a bulb would not be a good idea as anything, including carrots, water etc is toxic in large enough amounts.

I think that there are more benefits by using fresh than capsules though and it is certainly a lot cheaper!

Those of you who are using garlic are you using a flea treatment aswell. If not & it works it wll save me abit of ££.

I very rarely spray my dogs if ever, I do spray my house once/twice a year though.
