Hello All
As you know we saw Ann Bussey a few weeks ago about Dolly and Rosies Behaviour, I'm very pleased to say that the training we are doing with them is really helping with the barking at people etc and they havent done so, Dolly even went up to a lady yesterday over the park and said hello, I nearly fainted!!

Just wanted to run something by you though, they seem to be growling an awful lot at each other and yesterday had a fight for no apparent reason ,I stopped them by slamming a baking tray down on the floor, as Ann advised.

Ann did say that Dolly was Top Dog in the beginning but only because Rosie had the problem with her HD, now that she is on Metacam and like a different dog her dominance is coming through and they are now arguing over who is TOP DOG in the pack.  Rosie is far more dominant than Dolly in so many ways but I guess Dolly thinks she still is.

My question is this, how can we overcome this???, should I be doing anything different with them to what we are doing???, they even growl when they come back from a walk when they greet each other, I take them out seperatley. Dolly always go's first and Rosie gets to go in the living room whilst we go. Could this be it????

So hard to work out what they are thinking, Dolly always used to be near to the living room door when they were in the kitchen , I suppose to be nearer to us, Rosie used to be in the corner somewhere. Now they growl to both get near the door???

I am going to speak to Ann again, but any advise and reassurance that it will be ok would be great.

Thanks All

Jo

I think as you have paid for advice from a professional that perhaps she should be your first port of call!
