How doesn one tell if a dog is pregnant or has pyametra. The dog is 11 years old. first litter if she is pregnant. She has a light brown discharge. It smells sort of like amonia. Her vigina in large and soft. She pants. Her temperature is 102 degreess. Can't afford a vet at this time. If she has puppies then we can take her in.

Hiya guest. Has your dog been mated? I hope not! 11 yrs old is far too old to be having her first litter.
You need to take her to the vet, if it is pyometra it can be fatal. If you can't afford a vet, there should be one in your area that subsidises the cost, but please, please get her to one asap.

Well it is up to you does she live or does she die!!!! GET HER TO A VET NOW

Why take the chance? If it's pyometra she needs to treatment (probably spaying)
now or she will die. If she's pregnant for the first time at her age, her death is also a good possibility. Get her to a vet.

Jackie,
something seems familiar to a previous post and wording.
