Hi, i'm not very computer literate so i really need some help!
Since all the business with the sasser virus i decided to finally renew my subscription for norton antivirus which ran out last year. Worryingly when i used my newly updated antivirus it found 8 infected files. It said it couldn't repair them but i managed to 'quarantine' them for the time being.
The viruses are called,
1) trojan horse
2) backdoor.tofger
3) backdoor.daemonize
4) pwsteal.tarno.B
Norton antivirus advised me to delete them, which i have done, but should i do anything else now?

Do as sonny says and if you are still not clear then they are almost certainly in the "System Restore" file. In that case you need to collapse the file by disabling System Restore, rebooting then re-enable the System Restore again.
Best wishes, John
John out of interest, how do you disable "system restore"?

To turn off Windows XP System Restore
Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" check box.
Click Apply.
A message will appear, this will delete all existing restore points.
Click Yes to do this.
Click OK.
THANKYOU!! something else I've just learned!! Presume that you just uncheck the box to enable it again?
