Just a thought here does the colour of the clothes you wear have an effect on your character? like if you wear a beige top do you just have an average day. But if you wear yellow or red do you smile more?
Just a thought.

I wear mainly white to work and have not smiled for a few days. Evenings mainly black tops and jeans.  Does this explain why Im such a grumpy negative person.  No, I think it is down to my enviroment. Mind you,  you could have a point because some of the happiest people Ive met have very bright colouful clothes.

Well I have to confess I love pink :D and love unusual shoes that are often bright colours.  I know when I pick clothes in the morning it depends if I'm having a good/happy/fat/sloppy day.

Now I've thought about it, I don't know.  But maybe that is because I almost always wear jeans and a black or dark blue t-shirt or sweater . :D    I wonder what THAT means?!

Hi Karen
When I'm feeling a bit flat I make sure that my outfit for work includes bright orange socks
Can anyone tell me why men can't see colours the way we can?  OH says orange - I say peach: he says blue - I say purple etc.

I definately avoid wearing or carrying anything yellow in hot weather as wasps seem very attracted to yellow and that gives me a very bad day :(    To cheer myself up I often wear red :D and little trollboy loves to wear secret snazzy socks under his school uniform :D

Karen,
We all see colours differently and some people are colour blind in some small way which changes their perception of colour (total colour blindness is very rare)  also some diseases can cause our colour perception to shift eg. diabetes can cause difficulty in differentiation of blue, blue-green and green.

There are studies which suggest that colour can affect our mood and behaviour in quite a number of ways.  This research is used extensively (and successfully) in marketing.

LOL

The only thing that makes me look thinner is standing behind people who are fatter than me :D

Hi,
I think wearing bright colours makes you feel better, I too love pink(and red, green, yellow, etc) and wearing mad shoes and feel great in them. I hate to wear black, brown, plain things, just makes me feel fat n frumpy even tho im not.

I've tried that Dill but you get funny looks sometimes in the street LOL :p :P

LOL

I get funny looks anyway

Gina the trick is to look as innocent as possible :D and not get too close, just close enough that people can be fooled :D

I do this if I see someone shorter than me too  thats a real novelty since nine year old kids are usually taller than me :(
Just remember people, vertical stripes of any colour are useless for anyone under 5 foot they don't make you look taller, they just make you look small and stripey

There is scientific evidence to support this.  I wear red a lot (even tights) especially in the winter as it is a cheery colour and I love my job :D
